Days for Girls International Partners With The Pad Project and This is L.

This is L and The Pad Project Team Up to Support Women and Girls Abroad With Menstrual Health Access and Education

Days for Girls International today announced a new partnership with The Pad Project and This is L. This partnership provides a grant of $100,000 to Days for Girls International to support projects in Malawi, Uganda, Zimbabwe, Lebanon, and South Africa that will strengthen local leaders to become change agents towards increased menstrual access and education.

This important partnership will allow Days for Girls International to continue and increase our work in shattering stigma and limitations associated with menstruation for improved health, education, and livelihoods around the world,” says Celeste Mergens, CEO at Days for Girls International.


“When my students and I first embarked on our journey to make a film that would raise awareness about period poverty, we looked to other organizations who had already led the way toward making a change for women and girls. Days for Girls International is that global leader. A period should end a sentence, not a girl’s education, says, Melissa Berton, Executive Director at The Pad Project.

This grant will support the distribution of 7,000 period kits and help Days for Girls International deliver 100 menstrual health education workshops in Malawi, Uganda, Zimbabwe, Lebanon, and South Africa.
