USA Regional Representative (Key Volunteer Role)

7 Key Volunteer positions available (applicant must be based in one of the states in the specific region they are applying for):

  • US Southeast (AL/FL/GA/MS)

  • US Coastal Pacific (CA/HI)

  • US West Great Lakes (WI/IL)

  • US Upper MidWest (IA/MN)

  • US Coastal Southeast (KY/TN/NC/SC) 

 

Role Description

US regional representatives contribute to volunteer effectiveness and smooth operations of the Volunteer Programs by leading, communicating with, and supporting Chapters, Teams, and Clubs in your region to fulfill Days for Girls mission. By building a regional network and communicating opportunities, learnings, and resources available while listening and supporting Chapters, Teams, and Clubs activities, your efforts create a ripple effect that increases the results of Days for Girls as you promote both excellence and understanding of the work of our global Days for Girls family. The US Regional Representative is a regionally-based volunteer position and will work closely with the USA Country Coordinator, the International Chapters Director and the Associate Chapters Manager and have tremendous impact.

Volunteer/Internship Opportunities

Days for Girls is powered by a strong network of volunteers around the world, contributing vital skills, enthusiasm and support for our mission and vision. We offer a range of unpaid internships and skilled volunteer opportunities.

Days for Girls curriculum is a global force for good. The formatting volunteer takes translated curriculum wording from a Word document and formats it into a final PDF document ready for usage in places all over the world. It's a vital position that takes dedication, but you can work on your own time at your own pace and know that your efforts will have a direct and lasting impact.

PR & Marketing Volunteer

Hours per week: 5-15, depending on event/campaign

Position can be remote

Are you experienced with PR and Marketing? Days for Girls needs you! We are seeking a gifted PR & Marketing coordinator volunteer who is able to help coordinate PR, marketing, and social media posts for campaigns and special events relevant to our mission and vision. This person will help magnify the reach of campaigns, awareness, content, infographics, video and memes for various iDays for Girls and international women's and girls holidays and observances, and will help ensure that our releases have greater reach and that our posts are timely and relevant. It all adds up to reaching more women, girls and communities. Whatever time you can share... it will make a difference.

Information Technology Volunteer

Hours per week: 10-15

Skills:

  • Salesforce user, or the desire to learn the ins and outs of the Salesforce platform
  • Strong interest in data systems and how they interact with each other
  • Excellent skill with MS Office products and G Suite products
  • Familiarity with Wix or WordPress
  • Flexibility and adaptability
  • Strong problem solver and interest in solving complex data management flows
  • Passionate about the work of Days for Girls

Do you love all things tech? Does a well-constructed Excel spreadsheet make you really happy? Have you designed websites using Wix or WordPress? Then our IT Specialist would love to have you on her team! What a difference you can make.

    Are you a video editor (or do you know one)? Your talents can help play an important part in a historic global event while helping reach more women and girls.

     

    Days for Girls International is throwing a 28 day global party to celebrate the power of breaking menstrual stigma, and the United Nations International Day of the Girl! Our goal is to reach 100,000 women and girls in just 28 days! As part of this celebration we are gathering videos of the stories of those we serve and serve with. We are looking for volunteer video editors to edit some of these short video stories so they are ready for our global girl's celebration.  If you are interested please email GGF@daysforgirls.org

    Translations Volunteer

    Hours per week: 5-10

    Position: long term, from home

    A Days for Girls Translator helps translate for all of our materials all over the world. You use a Microsoft Word template and send it to volunteers to translate each piece. Then apply the translations once returned to each document. It's a vital and challenging position that takes dedication but you can work on your own time at your own pace and your efforts will have a direct impact.
