Diana Nampeera, East Africa Region Director (Uganda)
Diana helped found the Days for Girls Uganda office after meeting Celeste Mergens in July 2012 and currently manages the Days for Girls East Africa Office. She is passionate about women and girls issues, and being part of the Days for Girls team has given her the opportunity to reach many women and girls in Uganda. She graduated from Bugema University with a bachelor's degree in business administration majoring in management. In her spare time, she loves to spend time with her two sons and baking.
LATIN AMERICA
Nilvia Gonzalez, Guatemala Country Director
Nilvia was born in San Pedro La Laguna, around Lake Atitlan. She speaks Tz'uhujil, Spanish, and is learning English. She studied Public Accounting and Auditing at the University and is currently studying an MBA in finance and international accounting standards.
Nilvia has worked for 10 years with NGOs implementing programs to impact the lives of children through school construction, women working in knitting and sewing revealing its potential in other countries, and now will be to serve all girls reached Day For Girls with Guatemala. She has 2 wonderful children and they dream that someday they can have a job to serve in communities with programs impact.
ASIA
Maya Devi Khaitu, Nepal Country Director
Maya is a dynamic team builder who has been involved in many projects nationally and internationally. An excellent communicator, she speaks Newari, Hindi, Nepali, and English. Committed to women's issues in Nepal, she has worked tirelessly since seeing her own home turn to rubble in the 2015 earthquake. She has previously worked with the Mosaic Language Institute, the National Rehabilitation Society for the Disabled, Wheelchair Peer Training, Women Acting Together for Change, Prisoners Assistance Mission, Human-Wildlife Conflict Project and Minnesota University. Maya is committed to Days for Girl and empowering women everywhere.
